I spent the year of 1964 as an au pair girl in Altrincham (greater Manchester). All the members of my guest family were soccer enthusiasts. The head of this family was then the Manchester United manager’s girlfriend’s boss. Hence I got infected by the ManUnited-virus.

During that season I visited all home games in Old Trafford. Since then I am thoroughly a United fan. Meanwhile I have a family of my own who have partially inherited my United-virus.

I first became aware of the Swiss Devils through a newspaper article when Manchester United was playing a Champions League game in Basel. The very next day I joint the supporters Club and now share my passion with other members.
